Prompt 1: I worked on my essay with regard to sections. I started with identifying the main points and evidence I would be using for each paragraph. For example, I laid out an essay outline with a plan of what each paragraph will say. I also highlighted my writing using different colors as I wrote, that way I always knew what I iwas focusing on and where everything is on my paper.
Prompt 2: What I needed to work on was organizing my sources and as I found new ones, catalogue them is a research log detailing the main points of the paper and how I was going to use that information to push my perspective.
Prompt 3: Sadly, I didn't turn in my assignment on time for the peer workshop however because of this, I opted to finding other people that could critique my paper and give me feedback. For example, I had my girlfriend and a few friends read it several times as I wrote it to make sure that my paper was focused and was well-written.
Prompt 4: I feel pretty good about my essay, I revised it a lot and made sure to find as many sources as possible. I am very proud of my work because this is a topic I truly care about and I put a lot of thought and effort into it.
Prompt 5: I have definitely improved my researching skills. I can easily find countless reliable and peer-reviewed sources using the CSU database which I've learned how to navigate very well. This was extremely useful because it allowed me to find a heap of information on my topic and find ways to correlate it to my argument. Furthermore, I knew what sources not to use and the correct way to cite everything.
Prompt 6: I would like to me more punctual and turn in my assignments on time so that I get the credit I deserve for the effort I put in. However, I think I should also improve my essay planning and how I structure my argumeny. This is because sometimes, I'd get writer's block because I didn't know if what I was writing made any sense with reference to the rest of my essay. I'd get scared that I was losing focus or that I was off-track and end up re-reading and revising for a long time after.
